Mountain Mud Pepper Pie Recipe (Translation)

Ingredients
2 packages Jello Chocolate Fudge Instant Pudding (3.9 oz each)
2 3/4 cups 2% or whole milk
1 9-inch chocolate cookie crumb pie crust
1 package Andes Mints (or Andes Mint pieces, if you’re fancy like that)
1 tub Cool Whip
Directions:
Wash plastic top of pie crust. This will later be inverted and used as a cover for the pie.
If you weren't able to purchase Andes Mints already in pieces, unwrap them, place inside Ziplock bag, and break with a meat hammer or rolling pin. (Or toss them in a food processor - briefly!) Caution: Don’t go too wild—no one likes minty dust.
Pour a layer of Andes pieces onto bottom of pie crust (use about 1/2 the bag).
In large bowl, mix both packages of pudding with milk and whisk for 2 minutes until thick.
Pour into pie crust. Sprinkle top with more Andes mints.
Cover and Chill 1-3 hours in refrigerator and serve with whipped topping.

I am so relieved that Ophelia is back that I mostly don't even mind that I’m currently pushing a shopping cart through the grocery store with her sitting in the front seat like a baby as she excitedly clutches her shopping list in a paw.
"Can I see the list so I know what aisles we need to go down?"
"You mean we can skip some?" Ophelia said wide eyed.
"Why would we go down aisles of stuff we don't need?"
"I thought it was a rule. You start at the beginning and wind your way up and down every aisle until you get to the end," she said in earnest.
I chuckled and reached for the list.
