DISCLAIMER
Many of the people and businesses I feature are ones that I've met in the course living my life and running my businesses. I feature them when I feel they have something my readers may be interested in hearing about.
Some outbound links may financially benefit me through affiliate programs or sponsorships, but frequently they don't. Any affiliate relationship doesn’t influence my opinion, and I would never endorse people, programs, products, or services I didn’t use, approve of or feel familiar with. So If you use it, I may get compensated — but there’s no additional cost to you.
The Secret Template that Makes This Incredibly Simple
Let’s integrate the elements you’ve learned throughout the course using a simple but powerful template:
[Hook] I am [Name] with [Company] your [job type/category]. I [problem you solve] for [who you solve it for / niche target market] by [how you solve the problem]. [Call to action]
This template will help you build a sales pitch that not only captures attention but also positions you as the solution to a distinct problem faced by your target audience.
Exercise 5: Craft your Pitch
Your final assignment is to craft your full sales pitch using all the details we identified throughout the course including this framework template:
[Hook] I am [Name] with [Company] your [job type/category]. I [problem you solve] for [who you solve it for / niche target market] by [how you solve the problem]. [Call to action]
It’s even ok to write 2–3 pitches if you’re still a little unsure.
Once you have your pitch(es), get some feedback. If you’re a member of the Business Witch Academy community, you can post it there. You could also create a poll on your LinkedIn page, ask everyone in your office or try it out on your networking group.
Card carrying members of the Business Witch Academy and enrolled students, your final 4 AI prompts are at the very bottom of this story.
Deadlines Dance on Coffee Cups

As the sun set behind the ancient, ivy-covered walls of the Business Witch Academy, casting long shadows across the enchanted garden, Ophelia and I gathered our scrolls and quills, reflecting on the journey we had taken together.
“Ophelia,” I began, my voice echoing slightly in the quiet of the empty hall, “just as a Haiku captures immense emotions and vivid images in just a few words, a well-crafted sales pitch encapsulates the essence of your entire business in a brief moment of clarity. I hope our exploration into the art of crafting concise and compelling pitches had been as illuminating as the first light of dawn over the mystic moors.”
Ophelia nodded, her eyes reflecting the flicker of candlelight. “It really is about creating that sudden sense of enlightenment, isn’t it, Cheryl? Just like a Haiku makes you feel a world in an instant.”
“Exactly,” I smiled, pleased with her understanding. “Throughout this course, you’ve learned to distill your message to its purest form. From identifying your clear category and defining your target market, to the precise articulation of the problems you solve and the engaging hooks that capture attention.”
“We’ve woven together the threads of statistics, questions, stories, objections, stakes, and offers into a tapestry that, when unfurled, reveals not just a service or a product, but a solution — a beacon guiding our audience to realize the possibilities we offer.”
As we packed away our lesson scrolls, I reminded her, “Remember, the essence of all we’ve learned is not just in crafting a pitch, but in fostering a mindset of clarity, focus, and intention. Each word in your pitch should serve a purpose, guiding your listener to that moment of enlightenment, where they see how your offering enhances their world.”
Ophelia, ever the spirited apprentice, looked up with a spark of inspiration. “Would you believe that my friend Will Looney at CertifID had a haiku in his newsletter this morning?”
“You’re kidding? What are the odds. Was it any good?”
“It was amazing! Would you like to hear it?” Ophelia asked.
“Of course,” I said, setting down my things and turning to give her my full attention.
Ophelia hovered at my eye-level, flapping her wings gently and cleared her throat before she recited:
“Inbox overflows,
Deadlines dance on coffee cups —
Forgot my own name.”
I smiled. “You’re right, that was wonderful and boy do I relate. You know I attended 3 different networking events this week and 3 last week too? I’ve met so many new people, I think I may have forgotten my own name.”
Ophelia giggled.
“Well, Ophelia,” I concluded, gathering my cloak around me, “do you feel like you are now equipped to step out and share your story, your business, and your vision with the world, one enlightened moment at a time?”
“I can’t wait! I’m going home to talk to ChatGPT and write some more pitches!”
Together, we stepped out into the twilight, ready to write our own stories. Our minds and hearts were full of the lessons that would illuminate our paths forward.
