I really, really hate it when people say, "You don't look Autistic." You might be right, in fact, I hope you're right, but that statement isn't a compliment, nor is it harmless…find out why and what you should say instead...

Dangers of the Hamster Wheel of Continuous Learning
Cammi Pham 🍋
This is so true. I can't tell you how many business owners I've coached who are on their 5th coach, umpteenth business program or course, and own a library full of half read books. While I am all for continuing education, balance between learning and execution of what you've learned is a critical component of success.
Any business owner can succumb to the Hamster Wheel of Continuous Learning. Limiting Beliefs, Fears, and even Neurodivergence can be at the root of the problem. Are you stuck in this continuous learning pattern?
Fear of Failure: Do you constantly feel like you need to learn, just a little bit more, to ensure you don't make a mistake when its time to take action?
Fear of Success: Are you distracting yourself by learning the next thing because you're afraid you'll be so successful you won't be able to deliver what you've promised?
Demand Avoidance: The neurodivergent twin sister of "Fear of Success" is demand avoidance. Did you just sign up for another course or program because actually launching and selling your product or service will mean needing to deliver what you promised on a forced time frame and makes you want to do anything other than the thing you just sold?
Perfectionism: Have you taken a dozen different courses, programs, and tutorials in an effort dot your 'i''s and cross your 't's? Do you feel the need to be an absolute expert on something before you sell it?
Imposter Syndrome: Perfectionism and Imposter Syndrome are two raccoons dressed up in a trench coat and masquerading as professional ethics, integrity, and credentials. Is a feeling of 'never quite good enough' pushing you to refine, improve and perfect your way into stasis?
Shiny Object Syndrome aka Squirrel!: ADHD entrepreneurs are particularly vulnerable to Shiny Object syndrome. Is learning the next new thing fun and exciting? Do you learn the thing, get half way through taking action on the thing you just learned, and then get distracted with your 'next great idea,' 'next amazing deal on a course that's going to expire in 24 hours,' 'the next guru who's deigning to lower themselves, this one time, to teach little ole you'?
This week in the Quick Sell Mastery course we're talking about how to craft a 'Call to Action' in your sales pitch to encourage your prospect to get off the hamster wheel and buy.
Well, here is my call to action for you… for whatever thing you're procrastinating on and really should take action…now is the time!
As I always say,
Ideas without action are useless. Action without understanding is pointless.
But together they are a powerhouse of transformation.
You just need to find a balance between idea, contemplation, planning, and learning on one side and taking action on the other. There can always be too much of a good thing.
This week Dr. Love, Star Trek fan and DEI expert, from Higher Dimensions Consulting, is ready for some powerhouse transformation and she's taking action to get it.
She is hosting her first live webinar, entitled "Boldly Going Beyond Costumes: A DEI Conversation for Halloween!" In this webinar, she's asking, 'Are your costume choices Borg approved?' - For those who aren't Star Trek fans, a Borg approved costume would involve a lot of icky cultural appropriation. Join Dr. Love on Zoom on Thursday, October 10th, at 5:30pm EST to learn the difference between a creative costume that appreciates a culture and one that appropriates. (No registration necessary, just click the link.)
If you need help getting off the Hamster Wheel of Continuous Education and taking action, join one of my coaching groups. We meet twice a month on Zoom and it could be just the kick in a$$ you need to break free and embrace the success you deserve.
