How We Got Here: From Books I Couldn’t Finish to Stories You Won’t Want to Put Down
Ever since I was a little girl, I've dreamed of being a published author. I loved books and libraries and longed to see my name up there on the shelf with all the other authors. I also abhor the idea of spending my time and my skill writing the same thing that a dozen other people have already written. What's the point of that?
I played with the crazy idea of combining business writing with fantasy fiction writing for years. I wrote a few drafts and shared them with some people. The feedback was always the same.
"It's really good; I really enjoyed it; but I'm just not sure people will get it. Stick to the professional style of writing."
It stopped me in my tracks. I started writing a professional style book about this topic or that, but I got bored and abandoned it. Like pretty much everything else in my life, the conventional wisdom doesn't work for me.
One day, I looked at the growing stack of business books I owned, started and never finished. I got bored and abandoned them. Or I got overwhelmed, couldn't figure out how to apply the ideas, and abandoned them.
I thought to myself,
I can't be the only one. What good is all of this business advice if no one ever finishes the book, learns the lessons, and implements them? What good will my books be if it's just more of the same?
Well, I prefer to live a life without regrets and what if's and I just could not shake this idea of combining business advice with storytelling and interactive components to make it more interesting, more actionable.
So in August of last year, after a lot of thought and a bunch of nudging from Ophelia 🌈 and the amazing ladies Angie, Sam and Steph from the Femillionaire Society (I highly recommend), I launched my Substack and started writing the Business Witch Academy stories featuring Ophelia. We're coming up on 6 months and I have 2,747 subscribers on Substack. It turns out, someone, many someones, get it and maybe even like it.
I want to send a big THANK YOU to each and every one of you who read my ramblings and Ophelia's crazy antics. We're having a blast and I hope you are too!

Magical spells are real. Not necessarily in the hocus-pocus way, but in the raw power of words to inspire, to motivate and ultimately, to change the shape of reality itself. Words have power. So let's talk about words and writing and a few smart things.
In 2025, I'm making dreams come true, mine and hopefully some of yours too, with words (and some hard work).
One of my big goals for 2025 is seeing my name on the bookshelf.
I'm pleased to announce that I'm off to a good start. In addition to helping Ophelia get her activity book live, I so far this year, I've taken 3 books live on Amazon!
True to my style, these are edu-tainment books that blend actionable steps with storytelling. They are available for Kindle and in full-bleed, full-color print with fun bonus material from Ophelia, amazing page layouts and graphics, fun stories, actionable step-by-step advice and even some QRs codes that lead you on interactive side quests!

I'm also excited to share that I have been invited to speak at not 1 but 2 upcoming events for Virtual Networkers this spring. The first one is an inspirational talk entitled, "Feeding the Time-Starved Soul: Flipping the Script on Wealth and Prosperity." The second is a panel event about marketing taking place live and in-person in Doylestown, Pennsylvania.
